Technical Regulation of the Customs Union 026/2012 "On the safety of small size vessels"

Technical Regulation of the Customs Union 026/2012 "On safety of small size vessels" was adopted by the Council of the EEC Decision No 33 on June 15, 2012, and came into force on February 1, 2014.
Scope of application
The CU TR 026/2012 applies to small vessels, rescue facilities and (or) equipment for small vessels released into circulation within the common customs territory of the EAEU.
Appendix No 1 to the Technical Regulation 026/2012 contains list of the CU TR subjects:
- small size vessel;
- equipment for small vessels:
- equipment engines fitted in the aft drive motors (protected against fire);
- protection devices;
- protection devices starting with the clutch engaged (for external motors);
- steering wheels, steering mechanism;
- fuel tanks and hoses;
- factory-built hatches and portholes;
- equipment engines fitted in the aft drive motors (protected against fire);
- rescue equipment:
- lifejackets;
- buoy rings;
- liferafts.
- lifejackets;
The CU TR 026/2012 does not apply to:
- life boats for sea and river vessels;
- sport craft designed exclusively for racing;
- water attractions;
- devices for surfing with the motor;
- hovercraft boats;
- submarines;
- small ships weighing up to 100 kg, inclusive.
Confirmation of conformity
The assessment of conformity of the small size vessels is carried out in the form of the certification (Certificate of Conformity).
